Reflective Program Planning Series

June 8, 2026 6:00 PM - June 22, 2026 8:00 PM (MDT)

Description

Grounded in Alberta’s Flight Framework, Reggio Emilia principles, and pedagogical documentation, this three-part series guides leaders through the interconnected acts of Noticing, Naming, and Nurturing. Through interactive discussions, diverse reflective perspectives, and guided research, educators will be equipped to support their programs in planning responsive, engaging, and relationship-centred learning experiences that honour children as capable citizens.

Participants will explore how to:

  • Observe children with curiosity and intention, honouring their voices and diverse ways of expressing learning.
  • Make thinking visible through documentation, creating meaningful connections between children, educators, families, and the community.
  • Deepen inquiry and strengthen program planning through intentional reflection, flexible projects, and environmental design.

Ideal for: Early learning and childcare leaders and early childhood educators who have experience with Alberta’s Flight Framework, who are committed to fostering reflective, intentional, and child-centred programming.
